Our product testing is performed by an unbiased, unaffiliated, third party company which examines all of our products. This testing is done to show that there is no risk for contaminants in our products and product potency. Since hemp is not regulated by the FDA, it is important for us to show full transparency to our customers. HOW TO READ THCA & CBD LAB RESULTS
Lab results are important and often difficult to understand for the first time cannabis buyer. Since cannabis is a plant that is known for its ability to draw in contaminants from its roots, it is important to know if any exist in the final extract that is used in your product. Heavy metals, pesticides, mycotoxin (mold) and microbials are the most common contaminants that should be tested. Solvents can also be present in the final product if not properly remediated in the extraction process. Solvents are usually a concern in vape products more than edibles, since some edibles such as gummies may contain some harmless solvents from the flavoring or other portions of the recipe. It also should go without saying that checking the cannabinoid potency result (CBD, THCA, CBN, etc.) to see if the levels reach the amount claimed on the product label. Keep in mind that a full and/or broad spectrum hemp product should show a value for a range of cannabinoids other than just CBD.
PPM (parts per million) or PPB (parts per billion) are typically the measurements used on reports. A single digit on any of these measurements would be considered a “trace amount” and harmless (in regard to contaminants.) A lot of factors are at play with testing, and the testing perameters are very fine. This is why lab results are often faked or altered since it may be difficult for some companies to land a perfectly clean product. For peace of mind, we suggest scanning the QR code on all reports. This will allow you to link to the report that is hosted by the actual lab who tested the product, rather than the report that the company in question is displaying. We test the final finished product, not just the source material, showing our customers exactly what the lab shows us, because we believe in full transparency and we are proud of the quality of our products.
